Tips for losing weight/body fat

Here you will read a few tips on how to lose that extra fat that you’ve always wanted to get rid of but seems impossible to do. So let’s get started!

#1 – Intermittent Fasting

So the term intermittent fasting has become very popular in the last few years. This simply means skipping a meal for most people. Intermittent fasting is having a set eating window. A popular choice of doing this is the 16/8 in which you fast for 16 hours and only eat for 8 hours Usually people tend to eat two meals a day. It is not as hard as it sounds because you are sleeping for a good portion of the time. You can find good intermittent fasting information and overall good tips on getting a good physique here and here. This is possible due to having a calorie deficit so watch out when eating.

#2 – Reduce Carbs

I’m pretty sure you have heard about the whole reduce carbs saying. And it is quite true. If you want to lose body fat, try to stay away as much as possible from carbs. Yes, you can still eat fruits and veggies, that’s not the real issue here. The main issue is the refined sugars, like most cookies, chips, sodas. ¬†Also, beware of rice and pasta, rice and pasta can really make your insulin levels go up a lot. So if you want you can use wholegrain rice (brown rice) and things of that nature.

#3 – Strength train

You might be wondering why I’m saying this. The reason is simple, I have stated that at the beginning of the article: “Fat gets stored in our muscles and liver…”. So as you can see, if you have more muscle then you will have more “space” for fat storage that is not the unwanted fat on “love handles” and other unwanted areas. Cardio is also good. So to wrap up, I just want to say that these are just a few ways to help you lose body fat. I also recommend you to eat with a 2:1 diet or a 3:1 diet. What I mean by that is that you fill your plate of food with proteins and fats in a ratio of 2:1 or 3:1 to carbs. Carbs being the 1 ratio. My favorite food to get some protein and fat to start my day is definitely eggs. Protein will help you get more muscle or just simply maintain your muscle composition(with training).
